Step 20: Top of the Wall

Before the concrete sets up in the wall, place vertical steel pins to tie the wall to the poured coping. The image above shows pins being placed in straight. After the concrete sets up, these pins were then bent as shown below.

Step 20: Vertical steel pins are placed in the top of the wall before concrete sets up. These are used to tie a poured coping into the walls. Note that coping can be formed and poured at the same time if desired. Special finishing instructions should be taken into account.
