Step 11: Cut and Brace for a Skimmer

As you create penetrations in the wall, you should also cut out and brace an area to place the skimmer. As the skimmer is installed make sure to brace around it and secure it in place using spray foam adhesive. Forming the sides of the skimmer is easily done using forming boards or hardieboard. Strap and brace appropriately.
