When Should I do a Slump Test?

In an ideal world, you should do a slump test on every truck that is delivered to your job site. Sometimes this isn’t possible, but having someone on hand to do this and make sure the concrete is correct is a valuable link to a successful pour. Even if sending a truck back isn’t an option knowing what type of concrete will be coming out of the hose at the other end will allow you to adjust to conditions as needed. As they say, “Knowing is half the battle.”

Step 3: A concrete slump test is carried out from batch to batch to check the uniform quality of concrete during construction.
