Getting Concrete Right
We’re going to take a deep dive into how your concrete should look and behave before it’s integrated into your wall system. We’ve broken this section out into 22 “steps” all about concrete design, mix, and slump.
Remember, the concrete is the “secret sauce” of an ICF wall. It brings everything together, giving you structure, support, strength, airtightness, thermal mass and so much more. So with that in mind, we want it to be right. Some of the steps that follow may seem like overkill but we believe that whatever you’re building is an investment and deserves to be done carefully and correctly. Don’t skip steps when it comes to the most important part of your ICF wall, the concrete.
