Waterproofing Code Requirements

There are two building codes that guide in waterproofing:
  1. Building codes require walls below grade with an interior enclosed space that is habitable be waterproofed. (IRC 2012, R406.1)
  2. Many types of waterproofing may be used by themselves or in combination.
