Staging Your Project
Stage all necessary materials inside the work area or excavation to save time. Once walls are stacked and braced it is much harder to retrieve materials from outside of the structure.
All materials should be placed 6-feet back from the wall to allow for the installation of bracing and alignment systems. If you are only stacking a few courses and then pouring the inside floor of a basement, it’s a good idea to only stage the materials necessary. If you are staging all materials make sure to include bracing & alignment systems, forms, foam, rebar, and other materials.
Understand the reinforcement schedule as well as any specialty blocks, half-height blocks, and bucking that will be used before staging materials.
