Job site safety is one of the most important skills you will need to practice during every build. In this section, you will learn the importance of maintaining a safe and clean work environment. We will also discuss the proper equipment and practices for the job site.

  1. Hard Hat
  2. Safety Glasses
  3. Gloves
  4. Boots or Proper Footwear
  5. Safety Vest

 

Ensure that your team knows where safety equipment is located and stress the importance maintaining a safe environment every day. Begin each day with a short meeting to discuss the goals for the day, and to make sure each team member has the tools and equipment they need to be safe and successful.

It’s also very important to be mindful of weather conditions and how they may affect you and your crew.

  1. Drink plenty of water and take breaks when necessary
  2. Headache, high body temperature, and weakness are all symptoms of heat exhaustion. Be self-aware and take care of yourself
  3. Have sunscreen on site to protect against sunburn
