Next Steps

After pouring concrete, it’s a good idea to clean the jobsite immediately. It’s much easier to dust concrete debris off ICF walls quickly after the pour as opposed to waiting until the next day. Sweep the site, store and organize tools and materials, and pick up any waste. Doing these steps quickly after the pour will save time and energy later in the build.

After 24 Hours – Check the job site and complete any cleanup.

  • Avoid getting on bracing or scaffolding.

After 3 Days – Top plate may be installed, floor system installation may begin.

After 7 Days – Bracing may be removed. If multi-story structure, floor system can be installed before bracing is removed.

After 7 days the Bracing System can be taken down

After 14 Days – Vertical bracing removed from doors and windows if necessary. Preferable to keep in place as long as possible.

After 28 Days – All bracing can be removed (if not already), door and window bracing can be removed.
