Estimating Concrete Volume

Next, we’ll take the numbers you’ve calculated and start prepping for the concrete order

  1. Divide total square footage of wall to be formed, including corners, by 80 (4”), 53 (6”) or 40 (8”), 34 (10”), 27 (12”) forms, respectively. This equals the number of cubic yards of concrete required.
  2. Add 1.5 additional yardage for waste and the pump.

You do not want to be short on concrete. Delays are very expensive in reference to manpower and pump costs.
