Creating Chases

1. Use a hot knife to cut foam and create a chase for electrical wire, plumbing or other needs.

2. Tools such as hot knives, routers, side grinders, or chainsaws with a guide attached to limit the depth of the cut may be used to easily cut a chase through foam horizontally and vertically. This method is faster, but creates a greater mess.

3. There is 1-inch of foam between each course of block to allow for larger chases and plumbing.

4. Vertical runs can be made in the foam between the webs.
