Basic Estimating Overview
In this section, we’ll help you understand how to correctly estimate the number of blocks, concrete, and rebar needed for a basic ICF structure.
We will cover how to calculate for these necessary materials.
- The number of straight forms
- 90° corner forms
- 45° corner forms
- Specialty blocks such as brick ledge and taper top forms. (These are typically calculated and then replace standard forms)
- Rebar needed for the project
- Amount of concrete needed for the project
As you calculate for certain areas of your project, keep those numbers on hand as they will be useful in other areas of calculation.
